Guess who's coming to dinner... (again)
My second dinner party that wasn't intended to be a dinner party . . .
Present were Edgar (the former head of the Gay Officer's Action league), Brian, Robyn (co-chair of the NYC Green Party), two of her friends and Lashley - who got arrested with me. Robyn prepared the squash and the sauce that went with it while I took care of the rice, the soup and the eggplant dish.
The cooks.

The morning after.
Saturday I spontaneously decided to head up to Boston to retrieve some personal belongings with Uchenna. I also had a couple of things to do for HRTV getting ready for the Freshmen activities fair. And of course, I wanted to check back on my old suite. I slept in the bedroom name to mine. I didn't go back with Uchenna, but I sat next to someone else I knew who I ran into at South Station. And in another one of those psuedo-random moments, right as I got off the subway at Harvard Square who calls my name but Joy, a Billionaire I met in Central Park. It inspired this Friendster testimonial:
Three weeks ago, Fate decided that I be friends with Joy. (Joy the actual person, not the personification) I met her in Central Park dressed to the nines. Then, the next time Joy would be in town for the Billionaires for Bush ball (that I was scheduled to help at), Fate changed its mind and threw me in jail for 48 hours - held at frustration's bay just a stone's throw away from the ball at the same Chelsea pier. And then, a few days ago, Fate reconsidered and when I made a spontaneous decision to visit (unannounced) my old alla matter in Cambridge, who should I see coming out of the Harvard square subway terminal? It almost makes me believe in a thing called Fate. But alas, people such as But this good news, because it's better when we hold Fate in our own hands. |

Guess who's coming to dinner...
Against all [political] enemies, my dinner party was a success. Estrogen ruled the night though... we men were outnumbered 4 to 1. What with my new prime real estate and all, I've no excuses for going to bed alone that night. Sigh... I miss college.
Some of the folks I was 'detained' with. Nothing brings people together like a good ole' police state.

Adobe, we are at an impasse!
There's a slight error with Photoshop which keeps it from loading properly. I'll eventually get around to fixing it and there will be a massive set of updates in a couple of days.
Right now? Trying to evolve a schema. As for me, my feelings exist in utter ambiguity. It's sad, but I think it's the only way I manage in this life. Ambiguity such a good cruch to lean on. For me, it means I never have to face the prospects of complete rejection. For them, it means they can ignore those obvious signals as to my interest. Like I've always said, I'm risk-adverse. You tend to get that way when you've never felt like you've been on solid footing. It's a nice analogy to something quantitative.

Loser Lounge
Before I get into the details of my illegal detainment, these are pictures someone else took of a show I went to during the 2nd annual HOWL! Festival at CBGB (guess which one did the Blondie cover):
